Please note, account fees apply to the account type, but service fees may also apply – for example, if you request regular paper statements. View our service fees. 

If an account fee applies, that fee is deducted from the account at the end of each calendar month.

Funeral Term Investment

Account balance $1,000 + Rate Interest rate applied will be based on the term selected when the account was opened and the last time the account rolled to a new term. It uses the same terms and interest rates as standard Term Investments.

Please note, rates are subject to change. The rate that applies to your Funeral Term Investment when it matures, will depend on the rates at that time.

Key terms for Funeral Term Investments

  • You will accrue interest on your investment based on the term and interest rate you select when you open your account.
  • Interest is credited every six months or on maturity (whichever is earlier), and will be deposited into another TSB account of your choice for you to access.
  • Your investment can only be paid out to a funeral director, or the executor, administrator or other authorised person acting on your estate when we receive a death certificate and/or funeral invoice.
  • Any surplus funds are held alongside any other estate assets.
  • No interest will be payable on funds invested for less than 30 days. Funds invested are locked in and cannot be withdrawn.
